Who posts physician career opportunities and job openings to this Web site?
All positions are posted directly by employees
of the hospital, medical clinic or health care organization where you would
practice medicine. They are not head
hunters nor are they employees of outside recruitment agencies.
If you are a physician who wants to practice
medicine in Wisconsin, the goal of this Web site is to make sure you can access
every possible job opening and career opportunity in one place.
During the development of this site, one of the
clear messages received was physicians looking for positions wanted to be able
to communicate directly with the employer without a representative acting on
their behalf. This Web site offers
you that opportunity.
I
noticed that you can search for job openings by city or region. I am not familiar with Wisconsin, so
how do I know what cities are in a region?
A PDF file of a map of Wisconsin divided into
regions is available next to the region drop down menu. Major cities and towns are on the
map. The
H on the map indicates the location
of a hospital.
Do
I need to post my resume to the Web site?
No, you do not need to post your resume to the
Web site. If you have your resume
and cover letter in a Word document, you can cut and paste the text into APPLY
FOR THIS POSITION form. If you
prefer, you can cut and paste the email of the contact person from the
organization into your own email system and apply directly, or you can call the
contact person. All the information
is available in the job posting.
What if I send my application on line and I do not hear from the employer?
As is always true with cyber space
communications, follow up with a phone call!
Who sponsors the Wisconsin Physician Careers Web site?

physicians or provide advocacy and other services for physicians, hospitals and
medical clinics. The members
include:
Wisconsin Hospital Association
Wisconsin Medical Society
University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and

Wisconsin Office of Rural Health
I
am having trouble with the Web site.
Who should I contact?
There is a CONTACT US form on the site. We encourage you to use it to contact
the Wisconsin Hospital Association. If
you prefer to call, contact the Wisconsin Hospital Association at 608-274-1820
and ask for either Tammy Hribar or Mary Kay Grasmick, or email Tammy at
